Free plugin · Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor

Your agent builds it. The blueprint gets it right.

Builder Blueprints is a free plugin for your coding agent. Each blueprint interviews you, gives your agent the best-practice reference to build from, audits what you built, and writes the launch guide for it.

Give this to your agent

HOW IT WORKS

How it works

Every blueprint works in four modes and picks the right one from what you ask. You steer. The agent does the heavy lifting. Each mode is backed by a file in the blueprint's folder.

01 · PLANSKILL.md

A short interview

Asks what you're building and adapts to how much you've built before. Writes a brief to docs/ that your agent builds from.

02 · BUILDREFERENCE.md

Built from best practice

Your agent follows the blueprint's reference: the current stack, the patterns that work, and the mistakes to avoid. You steer, it builds.

03 · CHECKCHECKLIST.md

An audit before you ship

Say “check my site” or “audit my API”. It runs the checklist against what you actually built and offers the fixes.

04 · LAUNCHLAUNCH.md

A launch guide for what you built

Say “help me launch”. You get a step-by-step guide that marks what you do, what your agent does, and what you do together.

THE BLUEPRINTS

Every blueprint, and what it builds

You don't need to pick one. Describe what you want to build and the right blueprint starts. Open one to see what's inside, or copy it on its own.

ONE AT A TIME

Just want one blueprint?

Every blueprint is a self-contained folder in the skills/ directory on GitHub. Download the one you want and copy it into your skills folder. Nothing else is needed.

The folders follow the open Agent Skillsformat, so they also work in Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other tools that support skills. Copy the folder into that tool's skills directory instead.

terminal
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/BuildGreatProducts/builder-blueprints /tmp/bb
cp -R /tmp/bb/skills/blueprint-website ~/.claude/skills/

STAY CURRENT

Blueprints get better. So does your copy.

The blueprints are maintained in a public repo, with new stack defaults, new checklist items and new blueprints as they land. Say update my blueprintsand the update skill shows what's new and updates your copy. Or run it from the terminal.

terminal
claude plugin update builder-blueprints@builder-blueprints

For automatic updates: open /plugin, go to Marketplaces, choose builder-blueprints, then Enable auto-update.

Install Builder Blueprints. Free.

Five blueprints in one install, and your agent builds from best practice instead of guesswork. MIT licensed and open on GitHub. Nothing behind a paywall.
